Our story
Mercy Mission has been reaching out to the poor in India for over twenty years.
This is our story.
In September 1998, Charly Tom and his wife,Liz returned to India after living in the UK for eight years. They began working among the rural people of Andhra Pradesh, one of the poorest regions of India. They started planting churches in the Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh and providing humanitarian aid.
From the very beginning, many new churches were established, particularly in the remote tribal communities.
An orphanage, school and health centre soon followed, changing lives and impacting the local community.

Over the next twenty years, the Mission continued to thrive and expand. Today, there are Mission centres in several states across India.

The vision, as always, remains to reach every state in India with the Gospel of Christ.
