Caring for orphaned children
Mercy Children's Home
Mercy Children's Home was established in 1997 with just six children. It has since grown rapidly and there are now over 140 children and young people who are cared for at the home. Many of these children were orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected. Today, they are cared for and loved in a safe, secure, Christian environment. In addition, they have all attended the Mercy Mission School where they receive free education.

On reaching the age of 16, many choose to go on to study further in local colleges with some progressing to full degree courses. So far, we have had graduates in nursing, pharmacy, business management, accountancy and several other subjects. Graduates have gone on to work in a wide variety of fields including pharmacy, business and even the aviation industry.

Mercy Children's home has always been funded by the generosity of friends and supporters around the world. Many of the children are sponsored by individuals or churches. Sponsorship has transformed many young lives and given children a hope for the future.
